Mediation Server

AdventNet Mediation Server is a clustered, multi-protocol, mediation service for telecom network management applications. It is designed for scalable multi-tier architectures like J2EE that are the basis for many OSS and NMS products and solutions being built today. It provides a uniform interface for user applications accessing Mediation Server.

It includes support for SNMPv1/v2c/v3, TL1, CLI and other protocols and enables adding custom protocol support to the common application interface. In addition to protocol support, it supports load-balanced network facing services like data collection, event management, and device configuration. The AdventNet Mediation Server is architected to scale with the growth of the managed network.

Mediation Technology

Most Network Management solutions are typically beset with the problem of managing multi-vendor and multi-protocol network elements. Often building a solution encompassing this diversity leads to applications becoming non-scalable and less open to managing new protocols. Further these applications are weighed down by network interfacing functionality rather building higher level management functionality.

V5 LE Simulator

The AdventNet V5 LE Simulator acts as a V5 Local Exchange(LE) to test any V5.2 AN implementation. AdventNet V5 LE Simulator comes with a PCM30 (ISA slot) card with two E1 interfaces, and it runs on Redhat Linux version 5.2 / 6.1 / 6.2 . This is a hardware dependent product. The PCM30 card is an ISA slot add-on board, which provides two independent ITU G.703 compliant E1 (PCM30, 2.048 Mbps) interfaces. The serial ports, Sport0 and Sport1 provide the two independent E1 links.

The AdventNet V5 LE Simulator supports both online and offline versions.

The AdventNet V5 LE Simulator online version is a PC based product which allows to test the V5.2 interface of an AN implementation efficiently. The V5 LE Simulator runs on RedHat Linux 5.2 / 6.1 / 6.2 operating system with an add-on PCM30 card (ISA Slot) which provides two E1 interfaces.

The AdventNet V5 LE Simulator Offline version enables you to get a feel for the AdventNet V5 LE Simulator product without the PCM 30 card which is a part of the product. This version simulates many of the actual V5 LE Simulator functionalities. This version consist of only the Graphical User Interface (GUI).

In the online version, the Physical layer and the Datalink layer runs inside the PCM30 card. Network layer, System management module, switching module, call processing module and GUI runs in PC. Communication between the card and processes running in the PC is by a proprietary driver. Communication between Network layer, System management and OMC is through TCP sockets.
